Tuition Payment:

Payment for all lessons must be made prior to your first lesson. Please make Zelle payments to Lore Society & Academy for PAE. Failure to submit payment within 7 days of the due date will result in the release of your lesson slot to other students, and a late fee will be applied.

Student Absence:

Tuition of each quarter covers only the private lessons on dates specified on the account statement according to LORE academic calendar.

A minimum of 48 hours' notice must be given to both the LORE teacher and the LORE office prior to any impending absences from lessons or classes.

If a student knows in advance that they will be unable to attend certain lessons before the start of a new billing quarter, they must inform the teacher first and obtain approval.

In general, there will be no make-up lesson if a lesson is missed through student absence and there will be no refund.

Students are charged for lessons or classes, including those missed through student absence.

Students are expected to email LORE office and their teachers directly at the earliest possibility of any impending absence from lessons and classes, depends on the schedules of the teacher and the other students, the teacher may find a solution to help. If the student cannot meet on the time for the switched lesson, there will be no Make-up lesson or refund.

Teacher Absence:

If teacher is absent for a lesson, the teacher will discuss with the student to choose from two options:

1)  A make-up lesson, if the teacher has availability.

If the student misses the mutually agreed make-up time, the unused make-up lesson will be forfeited, and there will be no refund.

2)  A credit toward the next billing cycle. This option is possible only BEFORE the student choose Option 1.

Credit / Refund / Administration Fee:

LORE faculty and the office spend much time and make great efforts to work on students' lesson schedules.
Scheduling becomes even more complicated in Summer quarter since various activities could juxtapose. Please always review the dates/time on your billing statement thoroughly.

If a student incurs any changes after the schedule is agreed upon--in terms of the billing received and paid, there will be no refund or credit for missed lessons.

For Summer Quarter:
If the student/parent(s) decide to withdraw the already registered/billed lessons, also which is approved by the teacher and the LORE Administration, there will be a 20% administration fee incurred per cancelled lesson for the reprocessing.

Weather emergencies:

Studio will not automatically close if area schools are closed. Call teacher's studio directly to ascertain closing. If studio closes due to weather emergencies, private lesson and class generally will be made up at a mutually convenient time. There will be no make-up class if more than 50% of the students in the same class can not agree upon a mutually convenient time with the teacher.

Mandatory:

No recording is permitted during lesson or class unless with teacher's permit.

Online or in-person lesson, minor students should always be accompanied by their parent during lesson time.

Communication:

The LORE administration and faculty should communicate directly with the parents or legal guardians of minor students regarding scheduling and any other issues, not with the minor students themselves.

Highly encouraged:

Please consult with your current LORE studio teacher before you decide to participate in any instrument related activities, such as: competitions, orchestra, concert, music festival, music camp, chamber music, audition, etc. so he/she may help you to make the most of it.

Other than the above listed, LORE Society and its Academy do not impose specific policies for any individual teaching studio/class. Each teacher may set his/her own specific policies.

LORE Society and its Academy strongly encourage our students and faculty to specify these studio/class policies in writing before lessons/classes begin.

Studio/class policies are agreed upon between individual student and teacher before a student starts to take lessons/classes with his/her chosen teacher.
